child-centered play therapy

Welcome! I’m Tracy Pierce.

I am a children’s counselor specializing exclusively in child-centered play therapy in Park Cities, Dallas, working with children ages 3-11. I give kids a safe space to express their thoughts and feelings, develop a strong sense of self, and practice healthy coping skills that promote social and emotional growth. I work closely with parents providing support and feedback that are uniquely tailored to your child.

My Services

  • Play therapy is one-on-one child-centered therapy for ages 3-11, utilizing play, children’s natural medium of expression, to help them express their feelings more easily through toys instead of words. Play therapy is effective in a variety of circumstances, such as: anxiety, self-esteem, behavior, depression, grief, anger, and family issues like separation, divorce, or death of a family member.

  • Group therapy is designed for 2 to 5 children to work on a range of things from anger , shyness, anxiety and depression, and to improve their interpersonal skills. Sibling therapy is designed to improve the interpersonal relationship between siblings.

  • INITIAL PARENT CONSULTATION

An initial parent consultation is the first step in getting your child set up with therapy. At the initial parent consultation we will take a minute to get acquainted. I will gather information from you about your child’s developmental history and discuss your present concerns.

    PARENT CONSULTATION

Parent consultations are encouraged after every 5 to 6 of your child’s sessions to give us time to check in privately about your child’s progress or goals, and discuss anything new that may have come up at home or school.
